Pikalytics is preparing to support Pokemon Champions — the new official VGC platform coming to iOS, Android, and Nintendo Switch. When Champions launches, we'll be here with usage statistics, tier lists, and team building tools just like we've done for VGC since 2017.
Pokemon Champions is a battle-focused game arriving in 2026 that will become the official VGC software for the Pokemon World Championships. For the first time, competitive Pokemon will be accessible on both mobile devices and Nintendo Switch with cross-platform play.
Champions introduces Victory Points (VP), earned through Ranked Battles. Use VP to customize your Pokemon's stats, Abilities, and moves — no more endless breeding or hyper training in the main series games. This makes competitive team building more accessible than ever.
Players wear an Omni Ring that enables Mega Evolution in Ranked Battles. Mega Dragonite, newly discovered in Legends: Z-A, is confirmed for Champions — and more Mega-capable Pokemon are expected to follow.
When Pokemon Champions launches, Pikalytics will track competitive usage data just like we do for current VGC formats. Here's what you can expect:
Real-time usage rates, rankings, and trends for every Pokemon in Champions ranked battles.
See the most popular moves, held items, and ability choices across all skill levels.
Track which Mega Evolutions dominate the meta and how to counter them.
Build Champions teams with teammate synergy, coverage analysis, and spread suggestions.
While we wait for Champions, here are the top competitive Pokemon in the current VGC 2026 Regulation F format. Many of these are likely to be strong in Champions as well:
